Anime  Videos: Gundam 00 Movie Set To Premiere This October In NY Fest: Its going to be great news as Gundam 00 Made its announcement on having its Film set to premiere over at the NY fest this coming october. it was clearly announced by Japense Anime Studio Sunrise that they Mobile Suit Gundam 00 the Movie: A wakening of the Trailblazer will be over at North America for a premiere over at the New York Anime Festival this coming October 10 at 2:00pm. The premiere will not come in english but will be under English Subtitles only.

This two hour film of Gundam will be the sequel for the two season Mobile Suit Gundam 00 television anime. The director of the Movie is Seiji Mizushima. The film will be opening in Japan this Coming September 18, 2010. Check out the trailer here as we wait on for Gundam 00 Movie to premiere to the world.

Warner Bros. Animation is rebooting Rankin/Bass’ goofy ’80s toon ThunderCats  with the help of a Japanese anime studio. But can the pedigreed effort rehabilitate Snarf, one of the most annoying cartoon characters of all time?

“ThunderCats marks our most ambitious foray yet into fantasy,” said Sam Register, Warner Bros. Animation’s executive vice president, in a press release Wednesday. “The realism and dynamic visual style we’ve achieved are sure to thrill viewers, and the cool weapons, vehicles and technology should help the show appeal to a diverse audience.”But what will all those animated power players do with Snarf, a character that shares the ignominious dishonor of being one of the worst carton characters in history (along with Super Friends‘ blue monkey Gleek)? Check out YouTube user darrin282’s highlight reel above for a taste of the grating whines Snarf visited upon children of the ’80s.

Earlier this month, the city of Kobe began streaming a four-minute promotional tourism anime short that was created by independent animator Junichi Yamamoto. The "Kobe to Watashi" ("Kobe and I"/"Kobe and Ai") short is streaming with English subtitles on the Kobe City Channel on the YouTube  website, as well as on the city's own site. The anime will also be shown on the giant Space Theater Harborvision screen in the Kobe Harborland shopping district and at Japan's pavilion at the Expo 2010 Shanghai China event.

The short follows a college student named Ai-chan as she wanders aimlessly around Kobe. An unusual figure appears to help guide her around the city. Yamamoto directed, wrote, and animated the short himself, and famed veteran voice actor Akira Kamiya makes a special guest appearance. Yamato won the highest award in the 14th Animation Kobe Digital Creators' Contest last year. Yamamoto had created a "memory" short that was nominated for 2009's YouTube Video Awards.
