Fans of Japanese animation, age 11 through adults, are invited to the free Anime Club meeting from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010, at the Albany Public Library, 2450 14th Ave. S.E. Members meet monthly to play Yu-Gi-Oh or other games, share books, display original artwork, practice drawing in the Japanese style, and meet others with similar interests. At this meeting, games will include anime charades and stomp rocket, and small groups are forming to write and act out skits to be videotaped. Participants are encouraged to bring snack foods and drinks to share and a used anime-related item such as a book, DVD, CD, or plushy toy for Trade Time.
